Understanding the Problem
PAC Cosmetics is a premium beauty brand that sells across its own store, Nykaa, Amazon, Tira and Myntra, alongside an offline retail presence. Each of those channels pays on its own cycle, in its own file format, with its own schedule of deductions for commission, returns, damages, promotions and fill-rate penalties. The finance team reconciles those payouts by hand, one spreadsheet per channel, every month. Short-payments, incorrect commission slabs and unjustified deductions slip through because no team has the hours to check every line against the contract, and most of that leakage is never disputed before the claim window closes.
The Agent
We built an agent that owns marketplace settlement and deduction reconciliation end to end, inside PAC's own environment. It pulls the settlement and payout files from every channel, maps each line back to the original order, invoice and return, and reconciles what was paid against what was owed.
Where a payout matches, the agent files it and moves on. Where it finds a short-payment or a deduction that fails its contract check, it holds the line, explains the gap, and prepares the dispute for a one-click approve or reject by the team. Approved disputes are filed inside the claim window. Every action is logged and auditable, and no data leaves PAC's systems.
Outcome
For a brand of PAC's scale and channel mix, marketplace settlement leakage commonly runs between one and three percent of channel revenue. The agent today surfaces that leakage, reconciles every payout within 48 hours of receipt, and turns month-end reconciliation into a short review of the disputes worth filing.
"For a long time we suspected the marketplace settlements were leaking, and we never had the hours to prove it line by line. The agent now matches every payout against what we actually shipped and surfaces the deductions worth challenging, so our finance team spends its time on the claims that move money."
